Chemotherapy complete

Today was my last day of chemotherapy. I began the treatment for my stomach cancer over seven months ago. I had three cycles of ECF chemotherapy in 2013, and on January 20 th I had a total gastrectomy, then in March I began another three cycles of ECF. It has been a tough journey and I am so proud I completed it. My hair has fallen out again, I have not shaved it just yet.

I had lovely end of treatment gifts in the post this week, some make up from Lein

and a new lunch bag from Mel and family.

I had my first B12  injection two weeks ago and I drove myself to the doctors surgery. Since then I have sold my Land Rover Defender and purchased a Land Rover Discovery, which a much more comfortable drive. I have a CT scan tomorrow, the first post treatment. I will have a CT every three months for the next five years.

I am knitting myself a summer jumper in shiny red,

and I am also working on the granny square blanket I started during treatment.

The garden continues to thrive with Mr Margie toiling away each evening.

Big hugs,
Love Margie ❤️

Wonderful update, Margie - glad to see you looking so well and having finished the final chemo, a huge milestone. You are right to be proud of yourself after the seven months you've been through - glad to see in your last posts that you're enjoying food and your garden (loving your funny cat too).

P.S. Very very smart new drive, too.

I'm so sorry I wasn't there while you were going through such a difficult time in your life. I'm so happy you made it through, and no doubt most courageously!
