Sunday evening tea and teacakes

As part of our rest and relax weekend Lein and I watched "Brideshead Revisited" and sipped tea while munching on the sugary pink tea cakes Lein had baked earlier.

Home cooking and knitting

I took all the Easter wreaths out of the attic and put them up. Lein spent the weekend working on her essay and I made some great butternut squash soup for her, we ate home made chips and eggs fresh from the hens, then later we wanted to have something sweet so we put together an apple pie and some soya custard...yum...yum...The fat quarters are being moved around the house to various positions where they can be admired. I knit another baby hat. Tomorrow I am going to visit mel for a few days.

Mothers Day

I have started some new knitting projects, a baby kimono and some baby slippers and I found some of the knitting and crochet I did about ten years ago. I got some great gifts for mothers day, Factory Girl, La Vie en Rose, and Monthy Pythons Holy Grail DVD's and Carol Drinkwaters last book, "The Olive Route" and some pretty gingham fat quarters for sewing with (they look so nice in the little bundle I will spend some time just admiring them). I also made a pretty Easter Breakfast table yesterday inspired by the sunshine and the fact that the daffodils are in bloom.
