Borris Fair

Today the Margie and Mr Margie Saturday trip was to Borris Fair, en route Morris rolled over to 70,000 on the mileage counter.

At the Fair there were horses of all shapes, sizes, and colours for sale

and ladies in high heels of all shapes, sizes,

and colours

the most shapely of legs wearing those heels.

The men were trading and many deals were done, on what proved to be a sunny afternoon,

a long standing tradition continued for another year.

Mr. Margie purchased a two toned calla lily to add to our collection, I too made a purchase, but more about that in my next post.

These are the birthday gifts my sister Neady gave me, the perfect pressies are two pretty pink china cups and a CK book, all wrapped up and finished with handmade by Neady tags, tied with pink satin ribbon and in a cotton bag she personally pimped up with vintage fabrics. I love them.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend,

Big Hugs,

Margie

Margie, I hope you had the most wonderful Birthday. This fair sounds wonderful. My daughter has Ireland on her mind all the time. Ever since she visited her friend, she talks about how at home she felt there. I can totally relate to her feelings. Sometimes, you visit a place and you just know. You live in a beautiful place.

P.S. That photo of the high heels would make a fabulous poster.

what fun to go along with you and Mr. Margie to the fair. wow!...those high heels are really high. Great photos you took Margie. Our little county fair is this coming week and I am entering some of my photos in it for the first time. lol...I don't think I will see any high heeled ladies like you did though at our fair. Mostly just rednecks. :) xo Lynn

The fair sounds amazing! I hope that your purchase was that fine- looking gypsy cob -- though getting him home in the Morris might have been problematic.

Margie, it all looks like great fun. Interesting birthday that little one had! I think your purchase at the fair was inspired. Gosh, what a lovely thing. I have not ever seen young ladies dressed in heels at a fair. Guess we're just not civilized. Ha!

Your sister knows you very well...what a sweet gift for your birthday, which I hope was very happy.
