Snow Fever

When I woke up yesterday morning, the garden was covered in a blanket of snow, that really soft snow that squeaks underfoot. It is a number of years since we had snow that stayed longer than an hour.

A walk down the driveway confirmed that the roads were covered in snow too and that I would not be going to work anytime soon. The roads had not been gritted (those machines dont get too much use here).

Mr. Margie took a drive up the Wicklow mountains today and enjoyed a walk in deep snow.

The drifts were deeper in some places and the sky remains full of snow clouds.

I do hope that you enjoy your snow, but I'm sure that it comes as a surprise. It'd better go quickly before it does any damage to the spring bulbs, though they are very hardy things.

Wow, thats a bunch of snow. We are getting more snow today, and the next couple of days. My 20 year old daughter just told me that she is so excited about taking a trip with her girlfriend to Ireland on Spring Break. They are meeting their friend who is spending a semester of college there. What fun.

How lovely! I love fresh snow. Ours is getting a bit crusty. You'll have to see Seamus O'Gnome--he's finished!

It looks so pretty on those conifers, doesn't it. You've had lots as well! I do love that squeaking crunch as you walk on fresh snow.

Oh Margie these photos are just beautiful! I can't believe all the snow you received and especially after your lovely Spring posting last week. I hope you're enjoying the beauty of it all and the flowers manage to make their way back out again.♥

Wow what a landscape, our snow has all gone now and once again I didn't get any photographs of it.

I was at work... Yes, I know hundreds of people didn't make it into work, but we did. Now are we mad or good...lol

Best wishes,

Annie
