Computers, Knitting and Long Breakfasts.

I have had no laptop for the last two weeks. I took it to the repair shop and they told me it will cost the price of a new one to repair as the mother board is broken. Leiny has kindly given me the use of hers when she is home at the weekends. Sorry if I have not been to visit your blog yet , I will visit soon.

The cupboard is full of unfinished knitting projects, mostly baby gifts. I try to have at least an hour each evening to do some crafting. This really translates as slow progress.

Leiny is knitting a baby sweater for a certain little boy, you can sneak a peek at him sleeping over at Boladeberlin, he is so cute, and his Mammy loves sheep.

Mr.Margie knew that I had been to our local Cath Kidston store and had been firm with myself about buying baby gifts and not diverting to my weakness, shoes, particularly Swedish clogs (I was wearing a pair the first time we met in Cannes, in the eighties). He came home last Sunday with them in my size, having gone to the store especially for them. I have been wearing them since.

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day, I love when it spills over near to lunchtime. The bowl is one from a set Mr. Margie's grandmother gave us, I like to use them sometimes in memory of her.

This project is for a little girl born in England at the beginning of July, it is knitted in one piece using just garter stitch.

I sewed on the little wooden heart buttons and added a little hat to complete the package. I am considering knitting an adult size in this (as I would definitely wear it).

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend,

Hugs,

Margie

Love the projects. The little baby boy is so sweet and the sheep sweater will be adorable on him.
I love clogs and haven't had a pair for years. Love the green with polka dots. Mr. Margie is a sweetie!

I love the glimpse of your kitchen -- looks beautiful. And the knotted sheep are adorable.

I was taught to knit almost fifty years ago, made a tiny knitted blanket for my hamster, and promptly forgot everything about knitting. Quilting and embroidery are my needle crafts -- but I do so admire you who can produce lovely intricate knitted sweaters and such.

Hi Margie! Lovely projects you have! I like the baby clothes! You've a very kind husband...nice gift he gave you! Breakfast is also my favourite meal...unfortunately in Italy we haven't the tradition of a rich breakfast...only cappuccino and brioche!
Have a great Sunday!

here it's not the laptop but the lacking speed of so called broadband which is actually slowband which is bothering me. I love, love, love those clogs: the shape, the light green, the lovely polka dots.

Thank you so much for the sweet comment you left on my blog Margie! Especially after how busy you are and being without a computer - I'm SO sorry!

Oh what a precious darling you're sewing for, he's just too cute! And the creations you're making... well, if I could I'd have another just for the chance to own one of your beautiful outfits! ;-)

I adore your clogs and wear them ALL the time, just wish we had the Sweedish ones here - they're lovely!

Enjoy your week and I hope things work out with a computer for you soon.

Hello dear Margie,
well yes, I do know the sorrows of a broken PC or laptop; it seems like if we are cut from the world :)
Your great clogs remember me of my own youth and my clogs; I liked to wear them as well, since they are so comfortable. I really regret that I never learned any handwork-skills: knitting, sewing, embroidery... :(
I think it gives a deep satisfaction to finish something nice and beautiful, made by yourself. And your work - as well as your daughter´s - IS beautiful.
Have a good day, Margie, I´ll be back soon and I´m preparing something for you... :D
Love, Marjolijn

What beautiful baby clothing you are knitting! And I love your kitchen dishes, too! =)

Sorry to hear about your computer. My son's computer is down as well.

My daughter has a very similar pair of clogs made by the SAME company! A small children's shop here imports the same Swedish clogs!

Dear Margie, I covet your clogs!! Love them! My weakness is shoes too even though it seems all I wear are flipflops. I just ordered and received some fabulous patent flats with leopard print inserts on the front. My new Fall shoes! So sorry about your laptop. xo

Shoes are fortunately something most of us can´t do ourselves, so we need to buy them - and these clogs are just gorgeous! I have never seen them here in Sweden, at least not the dottes ones, but I guess I will have to do a little research ;-)

Sounds so nice with all your craft projects - and I wish you lots of cozy and inspiring evenings with yarn, needles and fabrics!
