Seaside

Today we drove for one and a half hours to get to the sea. Chilly blue grey water and sky, long sleeves and warm footwear , fish and chips by the waters edge.

After a while the footwear was removed and everyone braved the pebble break water.

The bags were left on the rocks while the family walked along the shore.

Sea weed covered rocks were thoroughly explored and shells were collected.

By the time we were packing up to leave the sun paid a visit and we all had a Mr. Whippy on the way home.

This week I was awarded the One Lovely Blog Award by the very talented and wonderful Sharon at Manamoon studios. Take a quick visit to her Etsy shop and see the wonderful items she and her husband Damein have for sale there. You will not be disappointed. Thank you very much Sharon, I appreciate that you consider me a worthy recipient of this award.

I am planning a giveaway in my next post, I will put together a little pack.

Until then, I will browse through my blog roll to catch up with all my favorite blogs.

Hugs,

Margie

This is nuts! I keep finding sea pictures to go along with Karen Harvey Cox's playlist..."Ocean Waves Hitting the Beach" I'm telling you, it makes for a lovely time away at the beach with you.

Oh Margie what a wonderful day trip! The photos and descriptions were SO beautiful and left me feeling as though I was there with you. I did have to click to see what Mr. Whippy was and learned something new. ;-) I just adore visiting your blog and the warm welcome you always send out♥

What a beautiful seaside post! I love your mossy covered stones. The beaches on my side (bayside) of the Cape are rocky, too! The beaches on the south side are much sandier (I prefer the rocky side, but it is a little rough on the bare feet). lol =)

Lovely pictures! I almost live nearby the sea, although I never go to the beach (yep I know, shame on me!). But after seeing these pics I think it's time to pack our things and go!

Sounds good. Here the weather is so hot... Luckily the kids go to an open air school, so they are outdoors all day long.
