Mr.Margie and I set off on our saturday outing with a view to driving over the Slievebloom mountains.

Morris looks so tiny under this majestic oak

It was a grey and rainy day, but our spirits were not dampened, and we had a quick stop to say hello to this herd.

Before long we arrived here
Kinnity castle, thinking we might have a cuppa, but as the link shows, the castle was deserted when we arrived.
Big Hugs,
Margie
Even the signposts are romantic! And Morris may be the most charming car I ever saw!
ReplyDeleteMaintaining a place like the castle must be a nightmare of expense -- particularly in these trying times.
Oh I was pleasantly surprised to find this post as it's not showing up yet. What a romantic countryside you enjoy! I just love it and am going back to look again.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful landscape! I love that huge tree...
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the rain, but being Norwegian I'm kind of used to it too. (That's why I holiday in Spain!)
I hope you'll have a wonderful SUNNY weekend!

What a lovely day for a drive through the countryside! The castle looks so charming (especially the name!) what a shame that is happening!
ReplyDeleteThank you for inviting us along for an outing!
just found your blog and i am glad glad at least ONE irish woman loves real wool. as a german who has been living in glengarriff for almost 10 years i had the impression so far that mainly acrylics and plastic are fashionable and that crafted presents mean more or less "she has no money to pay for a REAL present". cheers from a very stormy west coast eliane
ReplyDeleteOh ! It's beautiful ! Hugs
